At St. Lucy’s Outpatient Surgery Center, we have an ongoing investment in the community, and provide a modern, cutting-edge facility helping you see your best. St. Lucy’s acquires the latest surgical equipment in order to provide the most modern care available to its patients.

Providing advanced cataract surgery options to our patients incorporates technologies that can increase the accuracy of the procedure and lead to better visual outcomes. The use of advanced lens removal technologies and premium IOLs that can correct for presbyopia and astigmatism mean that you can not only regain clear vision, but you may be able to enjoy the crisp, vibrant vision you had when you were younger.

St. Lucy’s most recent cutting edge addition to the facility is the Wavetec ORA System. The ORA System® guides the use of these advanced technologies and allows your surgeon to ensure the IOL is perfectly selected and perfectly placed, which helps give you a better visual outcome.

ORA-guided cataract surgery helps provide you tailored results. It used to be that a surgeon needed to wait weeks after performing surgery to determine your vision results. Thanks to ORA, this is no longer the case.

Now, during the procedure, your surgeon can take measurements of your eye. ORA measurements are taken after the clouded cataract is removed, when the surgeon has a clear view, allowing him to tailor the procedure to your individual eye and refine your visual outcome.

No matter what premium cataract procedure you and your surgeon decide upon, you can feel confident that by adding the ORA System®, you’ll receive the best possible results.
